Overview

Tahoe Flow Arts & Fitness is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Aerial Arts Instructor to join our team. While we are specifically looking for individuals who teach aerial silks, experience instructing other apparatuses or circus disciplines is a bonus. The ideal candidate is committed to student safety, can both teach within an existing curriculum as well as build their own, and is interested in contributing to a positive and inclusive community. Our studio also offers opportunities to teach fitness, yoga, dance and other modalities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead aerial arts classes for adults and/or youth at various skill levels
  • Create and deliver structured lesson plans that are in alignment with our existing program curricula
  • Provide clear instruction and individualized support for students
  • Ensure proper equipment use and enforce safety protocols at all times
  • Foster a welcoming and supportive environment for all participants
  • Participate in staff meetings and studio events as needed
  • Check-students into class and brief them on our facility
  • Promote your own classes, as well as others offered at the studio

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience training aerial arts
  • Completion of a recognized teacher training course or certificate program
  • CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
  • Aerial instructor’s insurance, or willingness to obtain (we offer discounted in-house insurance options)
  • Experience with MindBody software or willingness to learn
  • Strong foundation in body mechanics, spotting techniques, and injury prevention
  • Ability to foster an inclusive and welcoming environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professionalism, punctuality, and reliability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous aerial instruction experience
  • Knowledgeable with more than one apparatus.
  • Experience and willingness to work with children, teens, or adaptive populations
  • Performance experience in circus or aerial productions

Yoga Instructor

Overview

Tahoe Flow Arts & Fitness is seeking a skilled, reliable, and community-minded yoga teacher to join our team. We offer classes at our studio in North Lake Tahoe, as well as at with our partner the Ritz Carlton at Northstar. We are looking to fill Sundays 7:30-8:30 am and 8:30-9:30 am at the Ritz Carlton.

Overview

Tahoe Flow Arts & Fitness is looking for an inspiring, skilled, and community-oriented Small Group Fitness Instructor to join our dynamic team. We are seeking someone who is excited to motivate and lead functional, fun, and effective fitness classes in a supportive studio environment. Ideal candidates have experience teaching modalities such as HIIT, Strength Training, Core Conditioning, Mobility, or Circuit-style classes.

If you bring a unique movement offering that aligns with our mission to blend flow, fitness, and fun—we’d love to hear about it!

There is also an opportunity to grow your own personal training practice at our facility. This is not a staffed position; trainers must build and manage their own client base, but will have access to the gym space, equipment, and community support to do so.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience leading group fitness classes
  • Certified in a relevant fitness discipline (e.g., ACE, NASM, AFAA, etc.)
  • CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
  • Liability insurance, or willingness to obtain (we offer discounted in-house options)
  • Familiarity with MindBody or willingness to learn
  • Positive attitude, punctuality, and professionalism
  • Strong knowledge of movement mechanics and class safety
  • Ability to connect with students of all levels and build community

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multi-discipline certified (e.g., yoga, Pilates, kettlebell, etc.)
  • Experience working with diverse or adaptive populations
  • Background in coaching, athletics, or performance
  • Open to subbing and/or co-leading specialty classes or events
